Starter of pigeon looked good but very strong liver taste maybe just not my thing.

Wine came with a different year than on the menu (worse vintage) same price though !!

Main course of rib eye steak was very poor, low quality meat no seasoning at all and not especially well cooked. Our side salad never arrived - how hard is it to get an order for two people right.

Won't be returning which is a shame because walthamstow needs restaurants that try which this does. I wish we'd spent the extra (a lot extra) and gone to the fish restaurant next door.

We have been here a few times now and have enjoyed our visits. The food is reliable - interesting enough for you to return - and the service is friendly (if sometimes, esp. on Saturday evenings, overstretched). Weekend lunchtimes are quieter.

We have enjoyed some lovely, beautifully cooked steaks and fish here - not too dry, moist inside with a good seasoned outside. The beetroot and mushroom salad starter is very nice indeed - a sweet but tangy dressing really brings out the earthiness. Soups are generally good and sometimes even reach the heights of shining tasty things.

Wines here are well chosen and suit the general standard. The cheese plate is hilarious though. I have never seen so many haphazardly arranged crackers. It was a veritable mountain. Still, it's good to end the night on a smile.

Sounds like a cool place do you have a picture of the mountain crackers???

Sadly not. The shock at such a gargantuan pile of biscuits probably knocked any useful thoughts clean out of my head.

I was surprised how just pleasantly low key and informal this place is. The food is good honest un-mucked-about-with and the portions are generous. Will go back.

Brasserie style food with good menu of changing specials. Not cheap but a great venue for the area
