Well I can't judge on breakfast and I'm not a 'young family' so maybe I'm judging too harshly... but Giraffe just reeks of average to me. Of the two (or 3??!) times I've been there it's only been just ok.
Despite some decent coffee (and juice) there are just too many great restaurants that need trying out to go back for mediocre food.

    Place for the Kids

Have been to a free Giraffe places in the past and always founds them to be quite good. It's great for a brunch as they have a large choice of meals. Now I wouldn't normally go out of my way to go to a Giraffe, but in this instance I was meeting up with good friend Kasper along with his wife and lovely son Max (pictured). Max is only a year old thus finding a place that is child friendly is crucial. That's where Giraffe shines, and you can tell by the amount of young families and kids that are present.

The waiter was very friendly and helpful whilst the food was good. This particular Giraffe id very well situated as it's facing Hyde Park and thus going for a nice walk to digest after stuffing yourself is a good idea :-)

    smoke free global cafe

All the restaurants I have visted in this chain have all served the same tasty food.
It offers a range of what it calls global food options, all of their ingredients are gm free.
I normally select one of their burgers and have tried their beef burger grilled anyway you wish with additional toppings. On my last visit I enjoyed the chicken snitzel burger with bacon, avocado, cheese & mustard mayo topping very delicious.

As the restaurants are completely no smoking its a joy to eat here (of course this predates the smoking ban due July 2007)

There is a child friendly menu & the staff are very child friendly.
Smoothies are a house speciality & I tried the Hippy Hippy Shake. Everyone gets a plastic giraffe so no need to fight children.

There were disabled facilities & the staff are quite helpful and attentive.

The decor is fairly plain nothing special

The best food & enviroment @ Giraffe.

Love Giraffe's concept of Love Life, Love food. The service is great, the enviroment & atmosphere is brilliant, has a great vibe & feel, with constant soulful spiritual music playing, wether its latin, brazillian, they have a range of music & products available to buy. They are very child friendly. The food varies in styles, presentation is great, food is lovely, I just love everything about this place, if I opened a resturant chain, it would be just like this.
