An absolutely delightful nondescript Japanese supermarket in Soho.

As well as coming here to stock up on the ingredients for your Japanese do at home, the ready made bento box lunches are good value and as far as I can fathom, they are prepared and cooked authentically by the Japanese staff in the kitchen. The sushi and sashimi offered I felt were superior to the ones found at the over hyped Japan Centre in Piccadilly; for they were near perfect and less mass produced in taste. Other delicious and good value ready made options include tempura prawns, korokke and gyozas. But the usual standout for me at this place is the Chicken Karaage (simple soy sauce flavoured fried battered chicken pieces). This beats Chicken nuggets any day!

I do love Arigato! I frequently pop in for some takeaway bits and pieces :-)

Best place for Sushi in Soho.

OK, I haven't been to them all, but a quick office poll agreed.

Also known as the Japanese Supermarket, this place is a Japanese food shop with a very intense but amazing Sushi chef. Fresh, great quality and much better than a Pret Sandwhich.
