Reviews for Le Mignon

I have to admit that my experience at Le Mignon wasn't as good as the other reviewers'. Whilst the staff were friendly the decoration was very simplistic and didn't carry much relation to Lebanon. As for the food, it did have most of what you'd expect out of a Lebanese restaurant but simply tasted quite bland. Now I'm not Lebanese but have had the pleasure of experiencing Lebanese food in France and in the Middle East, and what makes great lebanese food is the mixture of very fresh items cooked like a Lebanese grandmother would do thus creating an intensity and depth of flavor that is unique. Unfortunately Le Mignon didn't give me any of that intensity.... and I'm still looking for that Lebanese place in London which does :-(

Recommendations most welcomed!

I have to agree with Walid on his review on Le Mignon. I've been to this place once and had take aways from there for picnics on other occasions. I found the food to be a little boring. There is nothing exciting about the menu and the atmosphere is a little odd and stiff. Just wasn't inkeeping with my experience/expectation of what a Lebanese restaurant should be - fun & lively. Also I felt like I was being watched by the waiter the entire time (prob because of the queue outside) - which means that not everyone is of the same opinion. The food is definately not from a Lebanese grandmother and more like a british cookbook. Didn't find the flavour particularly exciting or the food to be fresh (key in Lebanese as all Mediterranean cooking). I was left uninpressed and its not a place I would go to again. For the prices they charge there are much better places to go where you can enjoy not just great food but a great night out.

Le Mignon is a lovely Lebanese restaurant in Camden. I have eaten in many lebanese restaurants in London and my favourite was Fairuz ni Notting Hill, that was until I went to Le Mignon. Five of us went and ordered assorted meze dishes with wine. There was none I would criticize, great foul moudammes and baba ghanoush to name but a couple. It's a nice intimate restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere good for groups or a table for two.

Definitely one of my favourite places to eat in London. We normally order different dishes from the Mezze menu - all gorgeous, especially the Fattoush and Mujadara. For drinks the Château Kefraya wine (red) must be tried. Try to go when Hussein is cooking!

Nice small friendly restaurant with really good food and great beer. I highly recommend this place.

The lamb's balls were a 1st for me and my date couldn't stop giggling but they were actually tasty and she even ate a few.

Nice little Lebanese restaurant about 5 minutes walk from Camden underground. Good, authentic food and Almaza beer (heaven) at prices that are pretty reasonable for Lebanese food in London. Recommended.

A quite small, family run restaurant servicing delicious food. Open in the evenings. Closed on Monday nights.
