Reviews for Cocoon

Very impressed with this place. Great atmosphere, cool décor and excellent food. What more can you ask.

My first trip to Cocoon was for a meal. The food was up to scratch but the service was dire. We had to wait forever for our bill. In the end we threatened to walk out without paying and surprise, surprise it was swiftly on our table.

Go for the Drinks only. Make this either you first of the night if you are going on the weekend, or want a place to meet the girls mid-week for a quick gossip.

From the incense filled, sweet and spicy smelling foyer to the pre-dinner cocktail bar, this restaurant is a really pleasnt dining experience.

It is on the pricey side but well worth making the stretch for a special occassion. They go out of their way to keep large groups separated from intimate couples so that both maintain the ambience they are seeking and the food is simply wonderful. The menu was fresh, well planned and delicious.

Not really my favourite place. Wouldn't really like to stay there for more than 30 minutes, 1-hour max. Although the décor, staff, food, drinks etc are all up to scratch the main downside to this place is its layout. There is only one very crowded bar but 2 places to “stand and enjoy your drink”. The problem is that between the two is the restaurant.

The bar area is heavily crowded both from people just standing there drinking plus all the people from the second area, trying to get drinks.

The second area originally had Cocoon shaped chairs and was most probably designed to accommodate people waiting for their tables. The chairs have disappeared and the reception area with no drink facilities now acts as an overflow for the bar area.

Lastly, the restaurant, albeit a nice design with nice food is just not an enjoyable place to be. People walk past you constantly. And it feels like you are in the middle of a corridor

I started going to Cocoon when they still had the nice "cocoon style" chairs in the lounge at the top of the stairs....they were fantastic!

And since then I love going there for drinks, they are very very good. I love the Passion Flower cocktail...recommended. They also do very good food but it can be quite pricey. You can order sushi at the bar...but portions are quite small.

Cocoon is my favourite place for dinner and drink. The food is fantastic.

Nice place, good decor and all that. Place is good for a quick drink before you go on elsewhere. You can also sit down and eat
