Eating raw chicken can kill you. We survived to tell the story.

Hi folks, just want to advise caution here...

My wife and I would love to say all is well at Little Star and no cross contamination occurred when we were served raw chicken last month; we would love to recommend this place - we had been faithful clients and had been there on many, many occasions. However the owner didn't even respond to the letter we sent out to complain about the way we've been treated....

Hi folks, just want to advise caution here...

My wife and I would love to say all is well at Little Star and no cross contamination occurred when we were served raw chicken last month; we would love to recommend this place - we had been faithful clients and had been there on many, many occasions. However the owner didn't even respond to the letter we sent out to complain about the way we've been treated. Shocking.

We were even made to pay for our meal! No apology, no sense of urgency! "I don't want to f***ing die" would have said chef Ramsay!!

We now know why they call it "The Chicken"...

Seriously, if food poisoning was not a serious issue I would have just forgotten about it. But we are not talking about dirty crockery or lousy ambiance (none of which can be found there - Little Star was one of our favourites for the longest time - we've even taken friends there with us!!)

Cheers.

Returned tonight to celebrate my good friend's birthday at the Little Star after not being there for at least a year. The Little Star, is easily described by its name... ie. it's a little restaurant with perhaps 10 tables and yes it is a star both by the quality of the service, food, and the "twilight" decoration throughout.

Ok the strengths of the Little Star:
* warm and cosy decoration
* GREAT value for money, look at the picture attached of the Tiger Island which includes king prawns, mussels (actually king mussels, some of them are simply huge), all for only £7.95!
* friendly service

To be honest I can't find right now any weaknesses. The food is tasty and comes in good size portions. Any central London restaurant could easily charge double the price that the Little Star charges.

If you want to celebrate a birthday party or just have a group dinner with your friends then make sure you select the room at the back as your table will be the only one and thus you can be as quiet as you want or as loud as you want without disturbing anyone.

To summarize it all if you want a little place, with quality food in big portions at a little price then come to the Little Star!

Hi Jo, I have heard quite a bit of Little Bar in Kilburn but haven't been there... Will do. Have you tried "Small & Beautiful" in Kilburn?

Great little spot for a table for two complete with candle and you can aslo get a big table of 15 for birthdays. Great value for money and good service

The Little Star is a gem of a restaurant. Food is modern European, fresh and inexpensive – £6 to £8 a main, service is impeccable and chilled, candle lit ambiance is guaranteed. Give it a try!
