Reviews for Memsaheb

Really great feed, cheap cheerful, and a great atmoshere for family or a groupd of friends. Try and get the front of the house as you can see the world go by if you are planting there for a while.

Love this place.

Yet another Indian restaurant. So what has this one got to offer that all the rest do not? The simple answer is everything! The atmosphere here is not what you would expect of an authentic restaurant and neither is the décor. It is decorated with cool sophistication and it was something of a shock for me! The menu has all the usual meals with some I had not heard of before. As it is an Indian, there is also a good selection for vegetarians. The food here is head and shoulders above all other Indian restaurants, it truly is delicious. The prices are also a little less than other restaurants

This really is one of my favourite Indian restaurants – yes I know, I have loads of favourite restaurants. I can’t help being a pig! The décor of this place is brilliant – it is done with style and has an intellectual and cool feel to it, something you would not expect in an Indian restaurant. The menu has a huge choice of different dishes, as you would normally expect with an Indian there is an equally large selection for vegetarians. Although I’m not quite sure why you would bother! The food tastes absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I really do love it here!

I think Memsaheb is without doubt a first class indian restaurant. It really is! The decor is not your usual curry house, its a professional restaurant. The service here is perfect, you are given a fantastic welcome when you are seated and you feel valued as a customer. The serving / waiting staff are so friendly and helpful - they are more than willing to help you choose the perfect dish. Its also a fantastic place for a romantic meal with your loved one - the lighting is spot on and although it can get busy, you still feel as though you have your privacy

We went as a group of three people. Had some problem lokoing for parking but that's London for you. The decor was really nicely done up, with nice comfortable lighting rather than glaring bright lights. We ordered a combination of different curries; they arrive in little metal bowls and trays; reminiscent of the traditional Indian style dining that I experienced whilst on a trip to India a few years back. Food was of a good quality; none of the "ready" sauce slop that you get sometimes when you order takeaway Indians. We also ordered mango lassi which was taste obviously freshly made and not of the bottle variety.

I love having a meal at an indian restaurant. I find the variety of meals available is usual one of the better features. This is also the case with memsaheb. However where this indian restaurant differs from the usual run of the mill place is in its authenticty. They don't serve the generic too hot to handle curries made specifically for the palates of the british, they serve authentic indian food with the taste as you would actually get in india. The taste and aroma of their dishes are wonderful and i can't wait to go back! Prices are a little more expensive but acceptable

I used to live on this street. Every restaurant which ever opened there failed. It was like there was some weird hex on the building.

Then the Memsaheb came along and put down deep roots. It has done this by delivering one of the best most authentic style of Indian cookery. Extremely aromatic and fresh.

Canary Wharf workers should head down there, good for a very private lunch. Great views over the river.

One of the very best curry houses in London
