Reviews for Viet Grill
Always crowded, but always a winner. I tend to eat Vietnamese food weekly or fortnightly and being a local to the area tend to mix things up a bit, but continue to come back here most of all.
The food is great, prices cheap and unlike some of the resturants along here they have wine that doesn't taste of cat pee. Or how I imagine cat pee would taste. Can't say I've tried it, but if I do I'll be sure to review it too.
The decor is also lovely so it feels more like you're going out for a nice meal - nice to ease those unfamilar with the cuisine or 'hood.
And everyone I've bought here has loved it too, so has the added effect of making me look good. Bonus.
I wasn't ever crazy for Vietnamese food, but after trying Viet Grill my mind has been changed. Great little place on Kingsland Road, which always seems to be bustling with a fairly young crowd. Service was great and food delicious - try the duck which melts in the mouth!
London's Kingsland Road is road to Vietnamese food-lovers what Brick Lane is to curry fanatics. Viet Grill is by far superior in every way but is still easily affordable.
The decor is incredible, you really feel you have gone into another world especially down stairs. Its authentic yet retains a modern feel and, well, much newer than its neighbors. Its menu is vast; everything sounds amazing and tastes incredible - it does not let you down.
"Loads of authentic soup and noodle dishes, seafood specialties, and best of all, ‘from the grill’ – a tempting selection of predominantly meat dishes, including beef wrapped in fragrant leaves which you grill yourself at the table." from Top Table UK
If I could suggest any where I would suggest Viet Grill.
Newly refurbished Viet Grill really stands out from the competition on a road famous for Vietnamese food.
An elegant new look incorporating hand-crafted wooden furniture, subtle light fittings and decadent flock wallpaper creating a deliciously warm and relaxing environment. Pick your way through the extensive menu containing familiar, traditional dishes or order from the grill – a selection of predominantly meat dishes, including beef wrapped in fragrant leaves which you grill yourself at the table.
have to try if you're ever in Shoreditch...the food is absolutely delicious, big portions and seriously since last night I've become a big fun of vietnamese cuisine...try the "imperial" spring rolls-never thought spring rolls could taste so good-excellent service and very clean-cut design-just what you need if you are in the mood for sthg simpls, cheap (from 6-12 pounds) and reeaaally tasty..
