Great views of the Thames from the 4th floor and nice table arrangement with a separate bar and grill section. Black tuna is a must, best thing on the menu even if it is overpriced (as is the whole menu). The service was very good with an explanation of all the dishes available for the uninitiated in Japanese food and also importantly how to eat it! The portions are small and we needed to order a lot of courses to make it a filling meal (I still think I was hungry after 8 or so dishes including starters). This resulted in a horrendous bill around £200 each, nice place and great food but at a price.

I was excited to go to Ubon in Canary Wharf.
The famous river view is quite impressive, even if you are only at the 4th floor so you don't see anything of Canary Wharf that - personally - is quite amazing at night.
The place is not as chic as I thought and not as much as the bill would suggest.
The food was good, not delicious but good. Except for the spicy tuna roll that tasted like... nothing at all! Shrimp tempura is definitely good though.
The bill... £115 for 2 persons is not that fair. Considering that we had tempura for 2, 6 pieces of sushi, some sashimi, dessert and 2 glasses of wine I find that the place is definitely overpriced. And they don't even bother to serve you water in a glass bottle...

The restaurant is on the 4th floor right next to the Four Season's with an amazing water view. The inside is a large room with the kitchen being at the inner end of the room and seating along the spectacular window side as well as in the middle section. You can order all sorts of sushi and other japanese dishes.
All I had (tuna, shrimp and octopus sushi as well as beef) was nicely presented and tasted delicious. However, service could be slightly improved. We were with a group of four people and our plates arrived at different times with such a delay, that some of us where already finished with dinner by the time the last plate arrived. It also too quite a while ...
