The fantastic theme does not stop with the name in this extraordinary venue. Through the bar at the front is the restaurant located inside Sleeping Beauty's tower; tables balance precariously on the various different levels up the spiral staircase. They serve a modern British menu with Mediterranean influence. They can cater for private parties of up to 100 guests. Outside seating is provided on the pavement.

Reviews for Beach Blanket Babylon

Have been there a good few times to end the night after a Thai meal at the Walmer Castle or some drinks at the Lonsdale which are both within walking distance.

BBB is funky and trendy but as Lisa Says, it gets VERY crowded from Thursdays to Saturdays which makes it somewhat of a challeng to make a round trip to the bar. Few people take the time to enjoy this place as a winter Sunday pub where you can make full use of that beautiful fireplace. No crowd, you virtually have the place to yourself.

Drinks are good but pricey, crowd is young and beautiful place is well decorated (in its own baroque opulentway). Haven't ever tried the restaurant but have heard it is worth a try.

BBB is great! I love the decor: marble, columns, all the baroque details. Very rich but still very nice!

They do excellent drinks, and I hear the food is not bad. I like going there early in the week, when it's not too busy, so I can enjoy the place as well as the drinks and the company of my friends.

Definitely a must go in Notting Hill

Beach Blanket Babylon (BBB) has a wonderful decor, baroque style complete with columns. Drinks are marvelous and food is not bad at all.To be honest BBB is a bit expensive but well worth it. I agree with my friend Triandafyllos, BBB has a superb atmosphere ...next time i will be in London i will definatley be visiting again.

*** Pic....You can see the magical fire place of BBB

I liked the place for its decor as well. Food is also delicious. I had monk fish, which was really nice. However, the space is small and they try to put in as many table as they can. My boyfriend and I sat at a table for four, but it was hardly any space left for the two of us! And if you are going to order dessert, not a good idea to share the Creme Brulee, it was tiny!

I think this place must be one of the most cosy little bar/restaurant in town, atleast in the Notting Hill Gate area. The drinks are really nice and the interior is very classical. Its a small place but has a very "home" like feeling to it as it has sofas and has a warm atmosphere.

I mean what on earth were they thinking when they came up with that name? the place, like its name, is unusual, original and wacky. I was really excited by it when I first saw it due to its decor, but then the excitement subsided, as it's crowded and slightly on the pretentious side. Still though, cool place to go to if you're looking for something original around Notting Hill.

B.B.B is one of the most amazing bars I ve ever been. Fantastic atmosphere with beatiful people, small warm corners where people actually chat and enjoying their drinks.
In the back of the bar there is a fantastic restaurant (sorry I ve never tasted the food there but the environment is superb!!!). It is decorated as a cave with chill out lights!Sorry guys, but I dont remeber the exact adress! But I do remeber that it is really close to the NOtting Hill's station. 5 min walking top!

One of the best brunches I've had in Notting Hill and I've tried quite a few. Especially nice on a warm summery day out on the patio. Great scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Pretty good cup of coffee too.

one of the best places as far as decor is concerned, really unique...but ofcourse typical posh croud-but good looking men too...sometimes lots of greeks

Used to really like this place, but after a few visits the novelty wears off and you start to mind the really packed atmosphere sometimes. Having said that, it still is quite a unique place. Really like the cavernous layout and dark atmosphere. Never sampled the food - one to do soon!
