    Although I still pop in for the occasional breakfast, I always regret it. The food is often very disappointing and the staff is quite often plain rude.

    Only good point - they have good coffee

    A wonderful find - Base is a bistro serving full English breakfasts, coffees, baguettes, sandwiches, patisseries, a la carte menu and the freshly prepared gourmet food bar with a different selection of dishes each day. In the evening, Base becomes a fine dining French/Mediterranean restaurant.

    If you do not find the neat and stylish decor inviting enough, all you need to do is take a look at the menu it is enough to get you seated immediately! The French cuisine has a touch of Mediterranean flavour - Fresh Fixed Mixed Grill, Corn-fed Chicken, Rib-eye Steak, and a variety of desserts will keep you more than happy. Music lovers can enjoy themselves too, as a band plays live jazz on Saturday...

    One can also indulge in a bit of star-gazing - this place is often visited by the odd celebrity!

    Quick bite around Baker Street

    I'm always a bit at a loss to where I can have a drink or a quick bite immediately around Baker Street tube station. Base is on Baker Street, the northern side of the street if you are coming out of the tube station. It has decent juices and a good selection of meals at reasonable prices. You do have your typical chains of pizzas around Base but if you're tired of Pizzas then have a go at Base.
