Reviews for La Porte Des Indes
This restaurant is much about the experience. The small entrance conceals a very large restaurant underground. You enter a colonial style Indian atrium type restaurant across two floors. I have only been there for Sunday lunches which are an open Indian buffet. The food is very good the selection plentiful. There are dishes that you will not have ordered at your local Indian, but can try here. Altogether a nice place to go for a different Indian restaurant experience. Probably great for families with kids, although I have no experience in these matters!
‘La Porte des Indes’ is about the Legacy of France in Indian regional Cuisine. If you are open to this combination you are likely to enjoy it, if you are on the hunt for authentic Indian food this might not be the place for you. The place is quite huge and requires a large group of people to run it every day. The deco is tacky and overwhelming at the same time.
