Reviews for Rootmaster
Had an awesome evening sitting on the top deck of this old rootmaster! (see what they did!) Munching on very some very nice veg lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. The Menu is a little lacking in inspiration, a curry dish would be nice seeing as to how close they are to Brick Lane and how many vegan dishes come from the lands of the Hindus. There was a little too much Tofu on display amongst the 10 dishes we ordered.
The House wine had to much sediment but was very drinkable. The wine list had a reasonable selection.
Go for the ambience try to get ten or so friends together and book the big table at the front! It's great!
Mmmm... well it's different.
I love the concept, the restaurant is actually a converted bus and I'm happy to eat vegan food, I can live without meat. But for some bizarre reason the veggie burger I had tasted a bit fishy. The funniest thing was when I asked what went into the burger, the chef said I don't know just left over veg. Haha
Thanks Rootmaster, even though it was a strange experience I did have a good time and would definitely come back but I'll try something else.
