Reviews for Chor Bizarre - India's Restaurant
The restaurant lives up to its cheeky name. The menu is a selection of some of the fabled dishes of India and truly all of them , I mean 'all' are a must haves. Prepare to skip one meal to truly have a mouthful of food and praise.
Had a reunion party at Chor Bizaare, were delighted with their service and the ambience is worth a visit.
went to Chor Bizare after reading reviews and undoubtly it’s one of the best Indian Restaurant in London.
Well, me and my wife, we have been to Chor Bizarre many a times. To tell you we fell in love with the food on our first visit itself. We go their often and would recommend it to all Indian food lovers. They have a really amusing theme of the restaurant even the food is amongst the best being served by any Indian restaurant in London.
Last night I went with a group of friends to Chor Bizarre and thoroughly enjoyed our evening, we were impressed with their service and food is simply great.
Brilliant restaurant - romantic setting, friendly and attentive staff and dishes with a unique twist that sets them far apart from standard Indian dishes. Highly recommended and wonderful surprise for the ladies at the end :)
Chor Bizarre maybe a smaller and lesser known Indian restaurant than some of it michelin-starred brethren but punches well above its weight.
The restaurant is relatively small, yet quite cozy with glass topped tables enclosing ornaments from India and carved chairs. The menu is extensive and well written making it easy to order for even the most inexperienced in an Indian restaurant. Following my mandatory mango lassi (a yoghurt-based drink with mango), the starters and main course food was excellent - there were decent sized portions that were delicious and yet still leaving you wanting more. The service is polite and fast. There is parking outside in the evenings for those driving. An excellent evening had by everyone.
Our experience at Chor Bizarre was very good. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. We will be going back soon.
Taste London members make sure you get yourselves down to Albemarle Street, Mayfair - the setting for a truly 'unique experience in cuisine and design'. Chor Bizarre, the London branch of New Delhi´s most innovative and popular restaurant has been adjudged as ´One of the 50 most romantic places in the world´ and ´amongst the Top 10 Restaurants in London for Fun and Atmosphere´ by The Independent, as well as ´The best North Indian Restaurant in the UK´ by The Cobra Good Curry Guide. Capturing the spirit of the ´chor bazaar´ or ´thieves market´ within its kaleidoscopic interiors, the restaurant is dedicated to serving authentic Indian cuisine in a unique atmosphere. At Chor Bizarre you will not find most of the clichés that tend to be associated with Indian cuisine in Britain. The resplendent furnishings and décor have been collected from various bazaars of India and have been creatively arranged so as to inspire the diner to venture beyond the immediate and uniquely decorated surrounds and explore the wealth of objects d´art displayed in each corner of the restaurant. Some of the items are for sale while reproductions can also be ordered through the restaurant. You can walk away with more than just food and wine! Chor Bizarre offers dishes from all over India with a large repertoire of vegetarian plates. It also features Tak-A-Tak Tawa (street) cooking in addition to some other typical ´bazaar´ fare. Chor Bizarre has also matched every dish on the menu with three wines in order of preference, painstakingly put together by the internationally acclaimed ITV wine presenter Charles Metcalfe, which was recently adjudged as the ´Wine List of the Year´ by Best in Britain Awards. Chef´s Speciality Dish: The Maharaja Thali (A traditional royal platter with Sharabi Kababi Tikka Masala, Mirchi Korma,Nadru Palak, Zeera Aloo, Dal Makhni and Cucumber Raita served with Zafrani Pulao)
