Amba Bar & Grill is located in the lobby of the Mayfair Hotel, located just a block back from Piccadilly, a couple of minutes walk from Green Park tube station.
It doesn't look like the 'typical' hotel restaurant at all - it is very stylish & funky looking. The large restaurant had great decor, and well separated smoking/non smoking sections. Service was particularly friendly and helpful. Food was quite good.
We shared some excellent scallops to start. Main meals were the Loin of Pork, and a tasty and well cooked Rib Eye Steak with delicious fat chips. For dessert we shared a Bread & Butter pudding.
The only complaint of the evening was that mixed drinks were too expensive.....almost �10 for a Gin & Tonic - ouch!
