CLOSED DOWN!

Sadly this place closed down after only being around for about a year, if that. 'eco' was the BEST pizza place in Chiswick with Firezza being a close second. The original one in Clapham is still open and I really must get down there someday.

It's not hard to see why ECO is that good; the dazzling dishes that the chef continues to conjure are by now the stuff of a legend. ECO has built its reputation on its astonishing inventions, on pioneering techniques that yield results on the table that surprise, provoke, engage your sense of humour and taste divine. It's a cuisine that differs from others, according to that "it demands psychological reflection". In other words, you don't come to ECO for a feed, you come for an experience.

Eco is my favorite restaurant. I love seeing the chefs throw the pizza in the air, makes me feel homely. The pizzas, pastas and calzones are the best that I have tried. fab atmosphere.
Excellent choice.

Got here on a wet Friday night, soaked and wanting to hate everything that had been responsible for me being dragged out on such a night. Walked in to a very friendly welcome and was surprised at what a great use of the space they had made (previously Southey's, where I had eaten forever). The menu is simple, we started with some fantastic Moules, plump and tasty and in our case served in either a cream or chilli tomato sauce, both tasty served with fresh bread with free top ups.

For the main course I had a parma ham pizza, light and fresh. All the others declared themselves pleased with their main courses but I can't for the life of me remember what they had. Puds were great, sweet and filling.

The bill came to a very reasonable £28 a head, including a fair amount of wine.

I like it.
