Reviews for Meza

I went to Meza Bar for a drink on a Tuesday night. The bar was very modern, lots of big comfy leather couches. Extensive selection of cocktails but also offer “Credit Crunch” £4 cocktails – I had the Lynchburg Lemonade on the “Credit Crunch” menu, which was a twist on the classic Whiskey Sour. It was refreshing.

The place do fills up towards later in the evening even on a Tuesday. Music in the bar was loud enough to create ambience but soft enough to carry on a conversation. Good place for a date.

We ordered the Meza Platter, £19, which consisted of: chorizo flatbread, Salt & pepper squid, Meza hummus and pitas, cured pork croquettes, rocket salad & manchego, and Serrano ham. Platter was plenty for two. It was served piping hot. Salt & pepper squid was surprisingly tender and chorizo flatbread was nice.

This place has changed so much in the last few months, a great new refurb, suburb lighting, great sofas, and the food is still very very good.
Not to pricey, and if you like cocktails, then this place knows how to serve up the classics, very well.

Downside, is they play fantastic music on the weekends, but no place to dance, I suppose its not a club, but its sheer size could accomadate a small dance area, also one saturday they stopped playing music at quarter to two, to make downstairs fill up (Floridita),

However
Everytime I have been here, I have generally had a good evening,
Summing Up: -
Staff friendlyness good, door staff good, food excellent, music excellent,
