This is one of the many chinese restaurants around chinatown. To be honest, I usually don't go for chinese food when I eat out because I have had so many let downs in the past but this small, average looking eatery is actually pretty good! They serve the usual stuff that you find in chinatown...they have a selection of roast meats that they hang in the window outside as well as hotpots, various noodle dishes and vegetable dishes.

Most of the customers were chinese when I went which is good. I'd say most of the dishes were authentic with some dishes that cater more for western tastes i.e. the stuff that you'd find in a chinese takeaway.

Me and a friend shared a spicy hotpot with braised pork, enoki mushrooms and rice vermicelli, stir fried baby bok choi with garlic, half a chicken shredded with jellyfish and cucumber (my favourite!) and ma po tofu (a spicy tofu and minced meat dish) with some boiled rice. The dishes were very good sizes and basically you get what you pay for. I think we actually ordered enough for 3 but managed to fit it all in because it was so delicious :D

Not the place to go if you want a romantic night out or something special but great for when you want quick, wholesome and satisfying food.
