Worst indian I've had
On the outside, this place looks very typical of a modern Indian restaurant - glass front with clean, square lines. The interior includes your usual wooden tables, comfy high backed chairs, good lighting. So how does the food go so wrong?!
The sauces that came with our curries were thick, heavy and unappealingly saturated with colouring. I had lamb jhalfrazi which isn't even supposed to have much sauce with it and I couldn't force myself to finish it, it was that bad. Also, we all had different dishes but some sauces were weirdly similar. The meat in my keema naan was rubbery and bright red. Don't they know meat looks red when it's.raw?! Not cooked! So what's the point of dying it red?!!!!!! They also had one communal sauce for some of their starters which isn't a good sign really. Doesn't seem like they've tried very hard.
Let me note that I'm a chef and I was dining with two other chef friends and someone else who loves to eat. We shared one starter between two and then had a main each. Well, we couldn't finish our mains off which is totally out of character for us so there is a major problem with the food at this place.
The meals seem quite cheap here but a large bottle of water costs almost 5!! Anyway, I wouldn't come back again.
