Not as great as the hype surrounding it

To start, it is NOT "La Porch-etta." Learn how to pronounce it correctly... "pork-etta," ok?

Thank you :) and sorry for the language fascism.

Anyway. I fail to see why this place is just so damn good; everyone I know has been there, and everyone RAVES about it. Pizzas are big, definitely. And the selection on the menu is pretty good, as well... but honestly, there's nothing special about it. It's a step above Pizza Express, but I was really, really disappointed when I ate here and didn't find it as fantastic as everyone had told me it would be.

I agree with the previous reviewer: the music is too loud and the atmosphere is non-existent. I know it's Upper St and I know it's going to be packed, but considering the amount of people and the conversation they create, one would think that they would turn down the crappy dance music, but I guess not.

Really disappointing. I'm going to stick to my neighbourhood joint that serves the best pizza I've ever had (outside of Italy).

This used to be one of my favourite Italians in London - decently priced but incredibly tasty as well.

However it recently had a bit of a makeover and while the food is still quality, the lighting has been dimmed, the tablecloths removed and it now plays incredibly noisy dance music - which the waiters didn't turn down even though we asked twice.

So while we still love the food, the atmosphere is just gone. Impossible to hold a proper conversation in there now.
