Delicious Delisserie
Service was efficient. And considerate - they found a chair to save granny standing waiting. We went to sit at an outdoor table and read the menu. It's a bit like the Forth Bridge. By the time you've got to the end, you've forgotten, so you might as well go back to the beginning and start again.
Great food. Tastes delicious. Good portions. Mix of healthy and filling.
Starters included a brilliant chicken soup, or chopped liver with egg.
I started with the chicken soup and had the main course which was salt beef and chopped liver. You can also have the chopped liver as a side order.
Desserts included a yummy cheesecake which managed to be moist as cream cheese yet filling and not mousse-y. With thick biscuit base. Chocolate cake had a good thick consistency and yummy chocolatey topping.
Decor and ambience - similar to their Temple Fortune branch but seems smaller.
I liked the screen showing Charlie Chaplin. Silent films are a good idea for a restaurant where you don't want a lot of noise, from a video, not to miss the vital words.
Generous portion size.
I had leftovers to take away and it all tasted just as good next day.
Location - the busy Mill Hill main street at the end near the motorway.
It's Jewish style - but not kosher. All the Jewish favourites. Yet shellfish, which is not kosher, on the board.
"Who is going to order that!" I demanded.
"I am," retorted my son. And he did.
