Dim Sum trolleys trawl through the restaurant between 11am and 6pm, and a number of Dim Sum starters are available after 6pm. Reviews for New World

Another vote for New World. It is a large, open room dedicated to one thing at lunchtime - serving Dim Sum. The convoy of trolleys is ceaseless, each one bearing a different type of dish. Be warned, it can be a little difficult to get an explanation as to what some of them are, so it is best just to trust your eyes.

It is certainly not the place to go if you want a quiet and laid back meal, but for delicious Dim Sum, it has to be one of the best in Chinatown.

The more the merrier. Dim Sum is for sharing and this Chinatown restaurant is just the place. Trolleys of streaming hot Dim Sum are taken from table to table for you to choose from. If you are never going to get to Hong Kong, this restaurant will provide you with a genuine experience. no need to worry about the names of the dishes as they will be described for you or you can just point at a dish you would like to try. All my favourites are there and I like to order a bowl of won ton soup or hot and sour soup to go with the dishes. When eating Dim Sum start off by ordering one more dish than there are people, place them all in the centre of the table and share. The Chinese roast pork dumplings are just right and the rice equivalent of pasta filled with pork, beef or prawn is mouthwatering. A menu is available for main courses but we always stick to the soup and delicious Dim Sum. If you are on a tight budget skip the sweet Dim Sum and pick-up some of those from the nearby Chinese bakery after you've walked off the savouries.
