Yeah yeah, sure it's a bit Chaz n Dave at Angelo's- Plastic table cloths and 70's furniture, but that's all part of the attraction. The food is 'off the clock baby' and they are virtually giving it away. Which is why you will find yourself enjoying stand-out Italian food with a top city lawyer on one side and a table of elderly blue rinsers on the other. This just adds to ambience (unless you lack any real style!). Carmela, Rocco's wife, serves you as if you are sitting in her home and the rumours of generous portions are a total understatement. Mind you, it's the quality not quantity that will have you coming back week in week out. Be prepared to eat like a king whilst being able to pay from the purse of a pauper.

This neighbourhood local can really be trusted to provide consistently good, honest and tasty Italian dishes. Especially impressive are the pasta which is cooked perfectly al dente, and the deep-fried courgetes. Pizzas are not on the menu but can be pre-ordered in advance.

This is the best Italian food ANYWHERE! It's a real gem. The Lobster risotto is to die for, and all of the pasta fantastic.

i was talking about restaurants in my local pub in essex and a gentleman couldnt stop praising about this little italian restaurant in Whetstone N20, a family run business by Rocco and Carmela.So i asked where exactly this restarant was, once he told me i took this long drive from my place and it was worth every mile because me and my family had a fantatsic meal. Very reasonable priced and the wine too. especially the Lobster Linguine that i had, my son had the duck with orange and grand marnier sauce. It was top class.. and the atmosphere was fantastic. We highly recommend to everyone

This unassuming little place doesn't look like the kind of place an international jet set gourmet like me would frequent, but don't be misled by the appearance - you'll experience the best Italian food that I've ever tasted anywhere in the world. Select from the specials board or the menu - you won't be disappointed. For Saturday nights you'll need to book.
