Itsu is a chain of Japanese restaurants that have emerged in recent times. The interior is very designer, with conveyor belts of sushi sliding past the glass shop front and little stools to perch on. The menu is a totally original mix of Japanese and European dishes. The plates are colour coded according to price. Itsu does not take reservations, but kindly asks their guests to entertain themselves in the bar area whilst waiting for a table.

Reviews for Itsu

One of my favourite places to escape from the bustle of Oxford Street! Itsu is a sushi ‘conveyor belt’ restaurant but I like it much better than some other chains like Yo! Sushi. The food here is always extremely fresh and well prepared and with a good variety. It’s not the most authentic Japanese food (California rolls, chocolate mousse for dessert etc) but good for all that - and of course very healthy.

Just a note to a reviewer before me – this is NOT the restaurant where Litvinenko was irradiated, that was the tiny Itsu joint on Piccadilly. This one is officially polonium-free :-)

Love this place for great quality food, fantastic service and friendly atmosphere.

This is the third sushi place in London I have ever been to. I went here after my experience with Yo! Sushi wasn't perfect. I must say that this restaurant has a very good cook. The sushi is traditional, well prepared, and full of flavor.

I like the way they present all the dishes on the sushi train with labels under them. This makes it easy to know what the dishes are, and maybe even more fun. I didn't like the venue though as it is a bit small, and therefore easily crowded. The seats aren't spacious either which might be fine for a Japanese person but not for a Dutch guy of 1m85.

All and all I liked the food, liked the service, enjoyed the stay, but simply found it a bit to "hectic" to relax. And for a price that is higher than standard I will have to say that this place is "acceptable".

hey...pssssss....

I think you are wrong. This is ITSU Soho, while Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned in the ITSU in the ITSU in Piccadily:
