Reviews for Seabass
I went to this restaurant in James Street london with two friends. One of my friends asked for a hubble-bubble which to our surprise was delivered within 5 minutes - borrowed from a nearby restaurant we assumed. However this was not on the menu and the "manager" who was aggressive, rude and rather npleasant decided to charge us £20 for his service! When we complained he said "that is the price" and became quite pushy. He even refused to take off the optional service charge, a hefty 12.5%. A thoroughly unpleasant service, although the food was OK (not cheap). I am chasing these con artists through the courts.
We like the fish & chips at this small restaurant not far from the hullabaloo of Oxford St. It's not the cheapest fish & chips you can get in London but it's not expensive either and you won't regret it after your first mouthful. The waitpersons are friendly and attentive. The decor is unpretentious and neat. They have some seating pouring out onto the verge which can be lovely on a warm day.
