Reviews for Gaucho Broadgate
This is not a cheap restraunt but it is well worth it. You wont find a better steak in the area so close to the barbican. The sauces are amazing and complement the beautiful meat. I have visited a number of times and found my favorite dish was the stirloin which was nice and tender.
the furnishings for this restraunt are great and eccentric. The crowd usually consists of local workers during the day and a casual crowd in the evening. The sign of a good restraunt is a loyal local customer base.
The staff were very helpful and attentative. Their recommendations were spot on, they almost read my party like a book.
A nice place to bring a date to - beautiful decor, staff who are also attentive, food is great and nice ambient overall.
When entering the bar area upstairs, the immediate impression is whilst in a prime location and well presented it is not that large. However, when shown downstairs to your table you see the full size of Gaucho's. The kitchen/grill area is along one wall and open to the restaurant.
The menu choice was good and the waitress displayed sample of each cut and explained the differences. Whilst being an Argentinian steak house there was a good selection of alternatives should anyone who did not eat red meat or preferred fish. Vegetarians, may struggle.
Anyhow, we selected a choice of steaks and side dishes and I must say I was not disappointed the food and service was faultless. Whilst not the cheapest, when considering the location, qaulity of food and service it was well worth it!
This place is very cool. From the cow hide chairs to the elegant, stylish and contemporary decor, Gaucho broadgate is a great place to entertain. Broadgate has a much more unique style and ambience than its Canary wharf restuarant.
Argentinian steaks, any way you like them. Awesome.
Fairly expensive (about £60 a head with wine) but well worth it.
Lucnh is mostly business people ( more specifically bankers) but the evening has mostly laid back diners
