Reviews for Okawari

Restaurant is run by chinese and korean people.
That's why the food is not authentic Japanese.
Quality is poor, price is high.

This place reminds me of Hi Sushi.

It's not run by japanese people, rather some Malaysian Chinese. It's not authentic japanese food, but the prices they ask for match those of authentic japanese restaurant.

Really not worth the money to eat there, quality of food is below average, and all the while we were there we felt like we were being scammed.

Amongst others... one great thing about Ealing has to be the choice when it comes to Japanese food!

And for some reason Okawari doesn't do it for me.

The settings do keep your mind ocupied for the first 10 minutes as you settle down a the table, but then not only the service is average, but so is the food...

Unfortunately, when you are competing whith a few compatriots only a few yards down the road, you ought to up your game!

With the Japanese school situated in West Acton, there's a strong concentration of japanese expats families around the Ealing Common area and that's where the best Japanese restaurants (I believe) are.

So forget about Ealing Broadway and head for the Uxbridge rd ... Two doors down from Ealing Common tube station you'll discover an authentic Japanese cuisine with a hint of W5 (verging on W3)!
ATARI!!!

A sensibly priced Japanese restaurant, who's food is satisfyingly good. I've had a great time everyt ime I have visited.

Staff seem happy to let you sit and just eat, once lunch time with friends we stayed 3 hours with no cares from the staff.

Sushi can be slightly hit and miss on its freshness, but it has a good selection, and I've always enjoyed the Bento Boxes. Also has a good vegetarian selection which my veggie husband was very pleased about.

I love the sunken seating at the back - tatami style without the pain! Upstairs is a party room, but never used that.

I been to this restaurant a few times cause i live nearby.
The food is average but i don't really like the sashimi and sushi here cause they don't taste as fresh!!

Okawari is a Japanese restaurant in Ealing. It serves sushi, noodles, ramen, Japanese curries and teriyaki.

You can sit at the sushi bar and watch the chef in action, or like us, can choose the "tatami seating" where the tables appear to be sunken into the floor.

We have been here a couple of times for lunch, and the restaurant has been nice and busy. Service is very helpful and friendly.

Their Prawn Gyoza are delicious, as is the Miso Soup. I had a tasty Ramen and also a flavoursome teriyaki salmon.

The bento boxes are large and popular with the local kids, trying Japanese for the first time.
