Reviews for Gourmet Burger Kitchen
burgers have a bad name theese days, linked with obese americans and fast food. Well, not any more. Gourmet burger is not new (its been around for at least 5 years) but it has only recently begun to build up momentum and brach out. Their USP is simple. Good quality meat, good quality service, good quality locations, GOOD QUALTITY BURGERS. And on the whole they deliver. Lets start with the burgers themselves. A simple hamburger will set you back around £6, but do you get what you've paid for? Well, yes. The meat is juicy and thick, so much so that its hard to fit the burger in your mouth. The restaurands are clean and lively and though the staff are friendly its mostly self service, i.e you go to the counter to order. All in all you cant go wrong with a GBK burger.
before going to gourmet burgers, i prob thought burgers from tinsletown are the best...different taste i guess?
It's a bit pricey for burgers though but i think it's totally worth it =)
It does what it says on the tin. Recommended.
Lovely burgers and so much choice. We all loved it!
Very good burgers and reasonable chips in casual surroundings.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen is a chain of fancy burger restaurants that originated in New Zealand. They have branches popping up all over London. The restaurants are modern and clean and the staff are usually very friendly and efficient.
When you arrive you will be seated and given a menu. Once you have decided what to eat you will need to go up to the counter to order and pay. Your meal will then be bought over to you when ready - and it is guaranteed to look and taste delicious.
We have eaten at Gourmet Burger Kitchen numerous times (in Richmond, Chiswick & Fulham branches), mainly at lunch on the weekend, and have never been disappointed with the food.
My husband normally has the Satay Burger, which has 100% Aberdeen-Angus Scotch beef, spicy satay sauce, salad & relish. I am a bit of a fussy eater and like to 'create' my own burger, often having one with 100% Aberdeen-Angus Scotch beef, sweet potato, streaky bacon, aged cheddar & salad.
But even better are the GBK Fries - they are well worth it, but you will only need one serve between two - the burgers are so big that there are only so many fries you can fit in!
ok heres the deal big burgers and big fries...I tend to go for the stilton burger which is a bit different. Heres the challenge, go for one of the burgers (not the junior ones), have some fries and mix it up with a milkshake (hearty and made with ice cream). Do this on your first visit if you can and see if you can finish it all! I did but many have failed!
