Can't get a table at Arbutus? Then try AL.
If you are looking for quality British grub, then try Alastair Little. This is a must-visit for fans of game. I'd never considered trying partridge before dining here, but I'm now a convert. Delicious.
Regrettably, what should be an excellent restaurant is let down by its layout and size. Cramped and awkward, I know some people would describe it as "intimate". With the constant swish of waiters buzzing past and the jostling from other diners moving between the entrance-tables-toilets, I just found it downright annoying. Not the venue for a relaxed meal.
AL is the place you book when you can't get a table at [the much roomier] Arbutus, which is based just down the road.
