Bodean's BBQ

Reviews for Bodean's BBQ
Fatty meat, thin ribs, abysmal door staff. They need to spend a few extra pounds and hire someone over 18 who knows how to seat tables of four. Avoid this much over-hyped facsimile and head to Cattle Grid next to Balham station. It's like night and day.
Ended up here Saturday afternoon as Eco - the pizza place across the road - was having a power cut. Seriously enjoyed the ribs which was a surprise - was thinking they might be a bit horrible based on the burger/chain/american prejudice that normally steers me away from such places. The beer was utterly tasteless, but the beef ribs were meaty, juicy and very flavoursome. I'd go again.
We went here for a work outing. We were told we could not book and turned up at eight. There were about 10 of us and we had to wait an hour outside for a table to become free. This probably is not so much of a problem if you are a smaller group but it was a bit annoying. I'm a veggie and there was only one option on the menu but it was lovely. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and the portions were enormous - I've never seen such huge pieces of meat. If you like meat this is probably the place for you!
I thought the bbq Ribs here are suppose to be nice?I was really disappointed when i try it out few months back...
It's expensive and the food is just average.
IF u want good Ribs, I highly recommend Tony Roma's in Kingston.
They do the Best Ribs ever and unlimited ribs on Monday for only £14...I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the Ribs in Tony ROmas
This branch tends to be really busy. Took some friends from Newcastle here a couple of weeks back. There was a massive queue of people, so we put our name on the very long list (leaving a contact number) and retreated to a nearby pub expecting to never hear from them again.
Within half an hour, our phone vibrated and we all legged it over for the biggest BBQ I've ever eaten in my life.
Definitely try the burnt ends, and they do great burgers.
Staff are pleasant and bubbly enough, although tend to be rushed off their feet.
I particularly like the televisions showing baseball and other Americany sports. When I went it was kids baseball, which was really cute and a bit of a talking point for our table!
Warning. The next day you are liable to smell quite meaty.
Good ribs and barbeque - not quite American standards, but pretty close.
The Soho Special sandwich/burger is really good. Everyone should try it.
Busy, quite lively, but service was only average.
I will be returning to try the ribs.
Bodeans isnt bad but its not great. I've been spoilt for BBQ, having dined in Carolina and Mississipi, however its the best you will get here. If available have the burnt ends. Ribs are not bad and starters are good.
The service is pretty good if you get an American, not so good otherwise. Kids get a good deal, especially on sundays.
Its a fun experience and worth a visit, maybe if you are hungover and want to eat something big and a little greasy.
