Reviews for North Nineteen
One of our good acquaintances waved us in a few weeks ago, and we were really rather surprised at both the quality of food and beer. Apparently, the management has changed recently and the new team is trying to go back to the roots of a good local with excellent real ales (they have six pulls) and home-cooked, no fuss food that tastes just like it should. Since it was a Sunday, we got the roasts, which were enormous plates that none of us could finish despite our best efforts. The meat was tender, the veggies al dente and perhaps one of the best yorkshire puddings I've ever had. Then there was the gravy. . . Yup, definitely a place to go back to. We have been warned that the locals are a little on the geeky side, but then again so are we.
