C&R Cafe is definitely like its own description: it's more a cafe than a restaurant, so don't expect to come here for a long romantic dinner. The staff are very nice and helpful, but the atmosphere is loud and busy, so after eating most people leave: it's quite a functional eatery in this way. It's very popular and is always packed with people though, so if you do have to wait for a table, it's never too long. My favourites on the menu are the Nasi Lemak, Kampung-style Nasi Goreng, Malaysian Curries and Roti Chanai, all of which have varying degrees of spice. If you are not used to Malaysian food, the menu can look daunting, but ask the staff for advice and you will be going back for more visits.

Need to be specific-some of the stuff on the menu is your generic stir fry, tastes of groundnut oil and not much else-the sort of thing that is par for the course in Chinatown. But ask the waitresses what they recommend, and they will tell you to have the no 10, 42 or 77 on the menu (check with them because they may have reordered it since my last visit). I've had all of them and they're fantastic-the other stuff on the menu is possibly more hit and miss.
