Reviews for Tosa
Went to Tosa last, very cold, night. The atmosphere is best described as "cosy", very welcoming and warm. We had a selection of Teriyaki, Sashimi, Tempura Prawns and grilled meats, all very well cooked and tasty. The standard Edame beans were also present, not something I particularly enjoy.
All in all, good value for £25 a head plus wine. I'll go again, very comfortable and friendly.
Despite being on an island, it's incredibly difficult to find good fish in London. And if you're lucky enough to find it, you'll probably end up paying out the nose.
Fortunately, this cozy neighborhood Japanese, has excellent sashimi (although sushi is only a la carte) at reasonable prices. The best part, however, is that fish isn't their specialty. They have a charcoal grill and make some amazing and exotic yakitori (like quail eggs).
While it's a bit small and lacking in decor, the staff is welcoming and make this an excellent Japanese experience - a bit different from the norm, but perhaps more authentic.
Highly Recommended
Ok, so it's close to where I work, but if you're looking for a good value Japanese with a decent selection of sashimi and a really rather wonderful pork belly dish in the Hammersmith area, then go and try. Staff always give you a warm welcome and I've never had any issue with the service...so enjoy!
