Reviews for The Akbar
well eat out alot all the time. came across the akbar it was a bit of a walk but was worth every step.the food was great not a trace of oil unlike the place i"ve been to 2weeks ago.the king prawn peri peri was a blast so was the othe dishes i had.worth the try if you really like good clean food.
In all respects The Akbar was a cut above the average curry house, but without the high prices of it's more pretentious West End cousins. The food was freshly cooked, rather than microwaved, and included old favourites plus more innovative dishes. Service was friendly and helpful without being over attentive and the decor was clean and modern. A little out of the way (a ten minute walk from Pimlico on the Victoria line), but worth the detour.
