Reviews for Como Lario
We popped into Como Lario for dinner. They served up some very good food (I went for the special of stuffed calamari) and the wine list was pretty good too.
The atmosphere was hard to judge as we were downstairs and didn't have any occupancy of any other tables. The great food and friendliness of the staff though was spolit somewhat by the constant attention they foisted upon us. We were barely able to eat while a multitude of waiters, owners, head waiters, barmen etc came over to check on us, advise on a new sauce for the main course, top up our barely touched glasses etc! All done in friendly spirit, but equally a bit much!
Would probably go back though, as the food was great, and pleasantly deviated from the "standard" Italian menu.
I'll start out by saying this: the food at Como Lario is fantastic. They specialise in quality ingredients prepared simply... my personal favourites are their fresh fish grills.
That said, the location in Belgravia just off Sloane Square means you can expect to pay quite a bit for your meal. And at those prices, you might expect to get a little bit more room to spread out than you get.
But the service is fantastic and so is the food.
