Reviews for Del' Aziz
I had my birtday party at Del'aziz, it was the first time I been there, and I enjoyed it very much. The meals was prompt, hot and tasty.....very large portion also...excellent value...best think...my birthday cake...yummeeeee....service was very friendly....We are going back and Im looking forward to another good night.
I have to say I hate malls but dining at Westfield mall was actually a very pleasant experience.
My party sat outside on the terrace at Del' Aziz with a beautiful view of a fountain tricking in the background.
We ordered a breakfast with Moroccan Pancakes, Eggs Royale, and Pain au Raisin that was to die for. You could tell they bake their own pastries it was so fresh and the pancakes were a nice change to the average breakfast menu.
Service was good; attentive and friendly while being perfectly unimposing.
Will definitely be back to try dinner which I hear is so great.
Let me start by saying I like Lebanese and other mid-eastern food. But, this middle-eastern Lebanese type restaurant has has the dubious honour of being my worst restaurant experience out of more than a thousand -- I average a few restaurants a week, year after year, decade... anyway the worst!
Since W mall opened I'd been to Dezeez three times. The first two times met expectations, bearing in mind the every eatery at Westfield was still trying to get it's act together.
On my third visit I was treated to rancid humous, followed by fizzy babaganoush. The staff stood strong and admirably defiant -- to the point the the junior cook came out to state that fizzy and rancid was how it was supposed to be served!
Since they refused to eat any of what was on my plate, I offered to accept a new plate if they would have a spoonful in front of me before laying it on the table... they couldn't even eat their own food, since it was off. I tried offering a compromise, explaining that their food-refrigeration must have failed, to no avail. Not about to be patronised in pidgin English, I refused to pay.
The big disappointment for me was the fact it was a rare lunch with my mum who'd come to visit. I should have taken her to the Comptoir Libanaise at the food court inside -- always good for a quick snack.
Avoid the place less you want to get food poisoning and catch a Dizeaze.
