    Good food!

The food at Mango Tree is very very good, dont let anyone kid you that it isnt! However, you are paying the price for the food, it is relatively dear to other Thai restaurants so you have to balance that. On the downside, I felt the restaurant was a bit crowded.

As a vegetarian, I would highly recommend the pad thai jay and the veg green curry.

    Alright... but not much more.

I have to admit, the food here was quite good, but when you look at the price, you realise you could be getting better food elsewhere. The portions were generous, especially the main courses, but like another reviewer, you're going to spend quite a bit on drinks, whether you go for a cocktail or just a soft drink. Dessert was definitely a highlight, with a rich chocolate pudding served with clotted cream. Not really thai, but it didn't matter.

My main gripe with this restaurant though, was the service. Waiters and waitresses were a little cold, but they are obviously told to smother you. I'm happy to give up having someone pour water from a bottle into my glass every two minutes if it means I can have an actual conversation with my friends.

Fine... in all sense of the term

This is a great thai restaurant serving a very fine thai food. Of course it is a high end place with the prices that come along, but overall if you are after something more elaborate than a quick and dirty pad thai, then this is a great place to go. Service is top notch, even if it can be a bit busy, with a crowd of business people having a semi-casual night out. Interior design is on par with what you are expecting from a restaurant of this standard. Worth the trip to the Victoria area for a dinner.

Mango tree is perfectly acceptable but that's all it is. The restaurant IS pretty swish and the service is excellent but the food is missing that extra bit of wow factor which you sort of expect for the prices you are paying!

Probably won't go back unless it's someone else's treat! lol. I can find almost equally good thai at less than half the price.

    Tangy Thai

Mango Tree is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to in London. The service is fantastic as is the presentation - this is definitely somewhere you could take an out-of-towner if you wanted to give a good impression of London.
Each table receives a bowl of complimentary prawn crackers to start off with (everyone loves freebees) and unlike in most London restaurants the waiters walk round with jugs of water so that one doesn't have to keep asking.
The prices range from 5-10 for a starter and 10-18 for a main and I must say that although, it is a bit pricey, it is definitely worth it. For starters we had crisp vege spring rolls and delicious satai chicken/lamb/beef. The satai sauce was so good that we ended up eating it with the prawn crackers. For main course we had the pineapple fried rice and duck. Drinks were on the expensive side and the barman didn't know what a frozen margherita was, despite the fact that it was on the menu, but aside from that it was a good experience. You get a warm cloth to finish off the meal and wipe off any remaining morsels.

Tasty Thai But Prepare to Pay £££ For Drinks
    Current
The food is really tasty and glamorously prestented but lacking the kick and zing of traditional Thai recipes. The decore is a tad spartan and noise levels make intimate conversation impossible but the vibe is good if you are looking for something slightly poseurish and upbeat.

The drink prices though? Man alive, I'd rather die of thirst :)

Best place to go in the area if your train home has been delayed by, like, forever - which is not that uncommon. It's a bit pretentious, by that I mean that the food does not quite live up to the setting, but that's just because the setting is so wonderful.

Mango Tree is situated in Belgravia and serves the best in traditional Thai Food.

After opening in 2001, the restaurant has excelled and now proves to be the flagship restaurant in Europe for the Coca group.

Proud recipients of awards to commend both their food creations and polished service, the team constantly strives to heighten Mango Tree´s popularity, so much so that a sister restaurant Awana (also a tastelondon restaurant) has opened, with more planned in the next 12 months.

The Mango Tree restaurant is often described as a glittering diamond in the crown of London´s Thai cuisine.

The interior is a no-expense-spared Westfield take on luxurious Eastern dcor - elegant, dramatic and fully feng-shuied.

The service is excellent, and the fresh, beautifully presented food even more so!

    Chef´s Speciality Dish:

    Meung Cum

Betel nut leaves served with peanut, lime, ginger, chilli, toasted and dried shrimp

My boyfriend and I could not have picked a more perfect restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The food and ambience was fantastic.

Food is really authentic Thai and consistently good. Service was very friendly.

    Definately going back there again!

All i can say is the food is good, (a bit of organic this and that) the atmosphere pleasant. The service is good and attentive. But maybe its just me, but is thai food getting a bit boring...i've tried a variety of dishes and there just ain't no wow with this food for me anymore. Sorry mango tree because of this its gonna hurt your score
