Visited once 14 years ago and once more in Nov 2008. The veal was terrific but red cabbage was not that good with it. A lot of mouthwatering things on the menu and a long list of good wines. Superb service and a terrific atmosphere, however quite a lot tables were not occupied on a Saturday evening. I could do without the pianoplayer. Not cheap of course but good value for money nevertheless.

I've been here once, back in 1994. What I remember most is the lovely atmosphere in the beautiful park. What did I eat? Can't remember but I know that it was good, not cheap but value for money even for a poor student.
Next time in London, I will go back.

    I heart the 'The Bel'

The Belvedere is my favourite place for a 'fancy' meal in London. Get out your pearls and your necktie and be prepared for a lovely dining experience in a truly spectacular setting.

It's especially gorgeous in the summertime when you can sit outside overlooking beautiful Holland Park. The food is well, pretty good (not amazing, but good fare and suprisingly reasonably priced) but for me it's all about the atmosphere. The staff is always professional and friendly, and the decor is fabulous - it's all a little bit 1920s with a bit of pop art and 'moorish style' thrown in.

Give The Bel a flutter when you want to impress that special someone.

A great place to go on a date.....

Everyone rates The Belvedere for lunch - and it's certainly beautiful on a sunny day, but it also comes into it's own in the evening when you can take your date outside for an inter-course stroll. Take a table - any table -wait for the light to fade, wander outside between courses and imagine you are in 18th Century London with Fanny Hill on your arm....
The food's pretty good too, but the decor inside can't compete with the garden!

The Belvedere represents the best of British. The staff are charming, the ambiance conducive to good conversation and the food is delicious.

I often go for Sunday lunch because they have a superb three course menu for £25. Excellent value for money.

On summers evenings get a table on the terrace so that you can hear the open air opera from the park theatre. It's on almost every night and adds to the magic of the setting.

Always reserve and you will not be disappointed. Definitely one of my favourite London spots. Enjoy!

    Fine Dining in Holland Park

Belvedere is a stunning restaurant situated in a converted private residence in the grounds of Holland Park. It is owned by Marco Pierre White, who owns some of the most well known restaurants in London.

The food is first class - it is a mix of British and French, and the service is excellent. We held our small wedding reception here and were blown away with the quality of the food and service. We have since been back for dinner, and again were not disappointed.

Favourite meals have included the Daube of Aberdeen Angus a l'ancienne pomme puree; and the Pistachio Souffle, one of the best desserts I have ever eaten!

Am often in Holland Park which I greatly prefer to Hyde Park and had always been meaning to visit Belvedere restaurant.

Being in the park is nice and the first floor actually overlooks the Orangery courtyard area of what was once Holland House.

Its a very discreet place and unlike many places in K&C, diners are not wedged in to maximise the number of seats they have. Excellent french food, not too fussy and excellent ingredients. I regretted not getting venison which some punters next to me ordered but our food was equally delicious.

Apparently very good sunday lunches too - will have to try.
