Tasty little korean
Around the corner from Tottenham Court Rd tube, this little korean restaurant is a gem. There's not a lot of seating and the decor is a bit washed out but the food is amazing for very little money. Everything is in one room, there's a small open kitchen with the most aromatic smells wafting out. All the other customers apart from us two were korean aswell.
Me and my friend were first given complimentary side dishes and some sort of cold tea. (When I tried to enquire what it was, the waitress said... "It's water" lol). The side dishes were beautiful. It was just simple things like beansprouts, spinach and some other type of greens but they had delicate flavours and was just delicious.
For my mains, I had spicy stir fried beef with rice. It's better than it sounds - the spicy flavour was just really tasty, not just fiery and the meat was succulent. My friend had a spicy beef soup that comes with rice. It wasn't as good as mine :) but still pretty good. We were really surprised when we got our bill and found out it was only 11!!! We felt bad and gave loads of tips lol.
