I'm not a big fan of expensive restaurants, but a trip to the Gaucho this week changed all that. The food was actually incredible (on a table of 8, all 8 people were blown away by the taste of the steaks!).

Really, you have never experienced a good steak until you go to the Gaucho.

The service was also excellent. Highly attentive, but not pushy.

    Highly recommended.

I have been to two Gauchos, the one in Hampstead and the one off Bishopsgate in the City. The former is very pleasant but the latter horribly noisy, a discotheque with food. The steaks are indeed fabulous; but be warned they are unbelievably, even by London standards, expensive.
