Reviews for Little Bay

This place was great!!!
To be honest i wasn't expecting much considering the three courses for ten pounds deal (if you have a party of ten) but wow even paying the full prices (which wasn't that much) i would still have been happy.

Lets start with the service the waiter Velcro (or something very similar) was very nice attentive but not intrusive (he was fabb), and then the food well where do i start because we came in a large party we got to try each other food and there was not one of us which was not happy with a single plate of food we were served!!!

I started with the Pork belly with black pudding (which was juicy and full of flavour) i then went onto the mussels which was creamy and really tasty great with the fresh bread they served. For dessert i had the banana profiteroles which were lovely but to be honest my friends cheese cake with passion fruit sauce was lush!!!!

This place was a great find it had live opera singers and was really entertaining I'm definitely going back for round two.

Wasn't sure how to rate this one, never experienced anything like it before! I've always been to 'normal' restaurants where you just go for the conversation and the food - not for the opera! However it was fun and i did enjoy the evening! The decor here is without doubt fantastic and looks so romantic. For me that romantic edge was lost when the opera started - i didn't actually know we'd be getting serenated by an opera singer! The food here is exquisite and tastes delicious. If you like well prepared and expertly presented food, you need to come to Little Bay!

Ok, how to rate this one. I’d say the only word I can use is Unique! Opera while you eat? That’s a new one on me! The style and décor of the place is without doubt fantastically eclectic, not seen anywhere quite like this before! The toilets take some getting used to, but hopefully you won’t spend too long in there!

The food itself is fabulously delicious. The tastes and textures are out of this word and I would recommend sampling at least some of the cocktails. Just a word of warning though, don’t go here if you are in a rush, although the service its very slow, its worth the wait!

I loved this restaurant. We fell on it by accident and had lunch there. The decor is like nothing else I've ever come across and just intrigued us. The toilets as mentioned in the other review here are a little bit shocking but still makes for an experience. The food was fantastic and really cheap. But the menu is a little limited but as the choices are really good it doesn't really matter. They also gave us really nice bread with our meal. A great place. I think it's a chain and there is one in South Croydon as well.

Went here with a group of friends for dinner on a Friday night. Was a little sceptical about the 'live opera' bit, but what a great night out - the singer was a real character and had us laughing all night.

The decor is rather quirky and the toilets might raise a few eyebrows but really add to the charater of the place.

The food was excellent (the menu was rather odd in that the entrees dont really compliment the mains!) but this is one of the best meals I have had at this price.

I will be going back very soon and would definitely reccomend this to anyone who wants a laugh and a nice meal with friends.

I visited Little Bay last night with a group of friends and had an utterly fantastic evening.

It's a place that really has an impact from the moment you walk in - in fact we walked in just as one of the opera singers was mid-song right by the door so were serenaded as we stepped over the threshold!

The booths feel cosy and private so it's fantastic for an intimate dinner with friends and they're so lavishly decorated you feel like you're in an opera box. We did spot a random coat hook and a school-bell style fire alarm hidden away in the midst of the decoration which made us laugh for a while - the whole place has such an eclectic feel and climbing the narrow steps to the top boxes above the bar feel like you're climbing into a bunk bed!

The staff were friendly and whilst the service could have been a bit quicker, we were quite tucked away on a busy Saturday night. The food was top and well worth a little bit of a wait - tasty and large portion sizes for such cheap prices. The opera singer even came and sat with/sang to us at one point, followed by the manager who gave us a free bottle of wine and some tequila shots later - most definitely service with a smile.

After being a little bit apprehensive about what the place - and indeed the 'live opera' - would be like as none of us had been before and it's a bit out of the way, we all had a fantastic time and the atmosphere was second to none.

I'll definitely be going back soon - we've already started planning the next Little Bay evening!
