Reviews for Sainsbury's

This was one of the first of the new breed of inner-London Sainsbury stores and still going strong. It is conveniently located along TCR, where it’s not too busy and where there are some similarly sized stores nearby.

The store is not too vast and has an ‘open’ layout, with lower aisles and shelving, a good selection of chilled meals and snacks, a large ‘fresh salad & fruit’ bar and all the usual supermarket items you would expect in a decent Sainsbury’s.

The wine department is not huge, but has a good selection of decent wines in the £5-9 bracket.

The atmosphere in the store is remarkably pleasant and relaxed – not a mean achievement in such a fast-paced and competitive environment. I think this is because light levels are lower than usual and a lot of use is made of spot lights.

If you want to eat well and save your pennies (in this time of credit crunch), go to this Sainsbury branch. They open until late and they are fairly big, so it is easy to find everything you need.

Let me give you a tip: Sainsbury Organic Line is great. The milk is so tasty and the yoghourts are so creamy. However, they are expensive. Why bother to spend more if you can buy their basic line? Concerns about health and taste, mainly. However, there is my tip: this Sainsbury branch uses to reduce all its organic line around 9 o’clock in the afternoon. So, if you go there, you can eat organic for the price of basic food.
