We started roasting and retailing coffee from this site in 1978. In our sampling room you can try any of our single estate and single origin coffees before buying beans to take home. We have a range of pastries and cakes from Villandry and Paul to have with your coffee to stay or take away. We also sell the things you need to make a single cup filter coffee at home including filter cones and papers. During winter, we sell chocolate from Pralus, as well as chocolate truffles from Sally Clarke.

Reviews for Monmouth Coffee Company

One of the best Coffees I have ever had! First time I went to Monmouth was in summer and had a great coffee but unfortunately there was no space to sit... This time we sat inside and enjoyed the real coffee... The place is very cosy with its unique wooden furniture and friendly atmosphere...Had a great coffee, got refuelled and ready to do some more shopping!! ;)

I would have to agree, one of the - if not the best coffee places around. Most importantly, always with a smile to serve you, even onn the grumpy Monday mornings :)

I did once consider myself an avid, stubborn tea drinker. Nowadays I don't drink tea or coffee that regularly due to my body's dislike of caffeine in the blood system (it really freaks me out - usually quite comedy to observe). Despite all this I found myself in Monmouth drinking coffee recently, and to take up the challenge thrown down by Soks, I must concur that the coffee is indeed mighty fine. Even the decaf I was drinking was rather tasty. They were selling these gorgeous little chocolate truffle things as well which went perfectly. Tad on the expensive side though - £6 for 2 coffees and 2 little truffles - but worth the indulgence every now and then. The whole place is very cool as well, quite the opposite of Starbucks. Seemed to be frequented by the 'ethical pack' as I now call the usual organic/fair trade/home made posse, so will probably be rammed and over-priced for about a year.

I challenge even the most avid, stubborn tea drinkers amongst you to go to any of the Monmouth places and not have coffee. I don't think it can be done. They have some of the best Arabica you can find and really take care when making the coffee.
True experience. Accompany the coffee with one the super brownies they have and that's you done for the day.

If you love good coffee you must visit this place (or its other branches, in Borough Market and Park Street SE1). They roast the coffee beans in-house and there's an enormous choice. They will suggest coffees to try if, like me, you don't know your guatemalan from your columbian. They sell wonderful chocolate, pastries and cakes to go with it. You can sit in little wooden booths inside, take away, or even buy the beans to take home.
