Reviews for Monmouth Coffee Company
Monmouth is fantastic! The coffee is, for me the best in London. You will often find me on a saturady morning, waiting in the lengthy, yet fast-moving queue for a cafe latte. If you buy your beans to take home you can usually avoid the queue and order a coffe at the same time.
Top quality Jersey milk and top quality sugar for those who need it, all add to the experience. Highly recommended!!!
Possibly one of the best coffee places in London, although it can be a little pricey. Good for takeaway coffee and even better for lots of different beans to use at home.
Eat in, take it away or buy some to take home.
Just do it.
Excellent, excellent coffee. I mean, I'm not coffee expert, but that's damn good coffee they do at Monmouth!
Whether it be on a trek through Covent Garden or just Borough Market on a cold Saturday morning, Monmouth never fails to deliver a fantastic cup of coffee.
Not the place for those who are into their "iced-nonfat caramel grande macciatos" or other such tongue-twisting combos....(there is sure to be a Starbucks nearby...). However, it can't be beaten if your tastes are simpler and you like a plain old filter, cappuccino, latte or machiatto with delicious jersey milk.
The best coffee in London...possibly?
If you are browsing at Borough Market or wandering about in Covent Garden, and want a really good coffee, head for Monmouth Coffee Company.
Monmouth are renowned for being excellent coffee roasters, and they supply their beans to cafes across the country. They have two cafes of their own (Covent Garden & Borough), and one market stall (Borough Markets), where you can sample their delicious blends and take some beans home with you as well.
Their Borough café is very popular, especially on a Saturday when the market is in full swing. Last time we visited there was a queue for coffee up the street! Sensibly, a staff member was working through the queue, taking everyone's coffee orders, so that by the time you got to the head of the queue your coffee was just being made.
There are a few tables where you can enjoy your coffee, along with a pastry of cake, or just a grab a takeaway and browse in the market while you sip.
