Family owned Butcher & Charcutier
I love meat, but more importantly I love high quality meat. C.Lidgate is one of those unique places that are rarely found in London. This family owned butcher is now being owned by David Lingate, the fourth generation of his family, to run this 150 year old business. He and his son Danny personally select organic and grass-fed beef, lamb and pork from selected free range and organic farms and estates. Their specialities include a wide range of home made sausage, pies and an extensive selection of cheeses in perfect condition and organic and free range poultry and game. David strongly believes that feed affects nutritional values as well as safety and therefore pays particular attention to what their animals are fed with.
What is very impressive about C.Lidgate is the sheer quantity of awards they have accumulated through the years. You should also read the testimonials they have received from some of their customers such as Richard Branson and Anne Robinson to name a few.
In my own humble way, what I really liked about this place was that the meat and food was very nicely displayed, it looked very clean, and the staff where great! They are very friendly and as the pictures show are happy to support TrustedPlaces with their thumbs up ;-)
