Reviews for Hotel Chocolat

Very nice retail outlet and nice staff pity about the product.

The Chocolate is truly awful even worse than Thorntons.

If you like really well made Chocs head for Rococo or various other true artisans.

I'd recommend you give Paul A Young Fine Chocolates a try. They were voted as one of the top 10 chocolatier by the FT. I can personally also say they're very good.

Oh, that evil place! One of my wicknesses is.... chocolate... i can't pass by that place and not to go in and end up spending money on this delicious, irresistible "drops of heaven"...

It is expensive, but, hell!!, it's worth it...
They have opened a cafe inside too, so you have the chance to sit down, sip slowly some glorious and reach hot chocolate, followed by mouthfulls of yet more little chocolates...

Selections are endless and the taste is just worth the money you spend there.

And for any guy that upset his girl - this is the perfect ice breaker...

Hotel Chocolat makes high quality chocolate. The shops are very open and modern. Sometimes they give you chocolates to try when you go in.
The chocolates are very expensive but they are of the finest quality. A box of 30 chocolates will cost about £18.
They sell chocolate for every occasion. They have a wide range of products, including chocolate enrobed fruit, truffles, turkish delight, low sugar chocolates and big chocolate slabs. The chocolate slabs come in many tempting flavours like caramellow and rocky road. Most of the chocolate is very dark and I wouldn't recommend the 100% cocoa bar (its very bitter).
I have signed up to their newsletter and they regularly send me their new product details

Apart from Thorntons the other place I mainly buy chocolate from is Hotel Chocolat. It’s another shop which is great for buying presents from and fab as a treat for eating there and then. They have a very large range of chocolates most of which are made from peculiar mixtures i.e. have fruits or other things you wouldn’t normally think go well with chocolate in them. However all the chocolate tastes delicious and I find that although it’s very expensive it is worth the money as it’s very tasty chocolate. The only thing I don’t like about it is the way that the members of staff look down their noses at you if you are not as posh looking as them, still a nice store.

On the one hand, this place is pretty expensive. On the other, it has a fantastic range of chocolate goods, including slabs swirled with different chocolate types, embedded with honeycomb, truffles, gift packs for anyone from your valentine to a mother, and they'll definitely know how much you care when they unwrap these. The chocolate is of a high quality - smooth and rich. This place really only has two disadvantages - I've already mentioned the price, and the other is the staff. The people working here often seem a bit snobbish, and can make you feel a bit unwelcome. Otherwise, an excellent place to pick up an indulgent snack.

The Hotel Chocolat store in Kensington has an amazing selection of chocolates in different presentations: I like a lot the chocolate bars with different ingredients added, they are really tasty and visually very attractive.
They have a lot of gift sets composed of different products like chocolate bars, jams, chocolate pasta, chocolate liquors, etc.. always with chocolate!
Their products are really good for give as a present but they are also a bit pricey. I think the products worth it because the quality is very good and you can find very special things.
They have good offers in sales that make their products more affordable.
