This annual event is one of the biggest street festivals in Europe. I went for the first time last year having said for years that I would go. Unless you have young uns make sure you go on monday as this is main day with the huge costumes and parades. Sunday is a designated family day and is a bit toned down for my liking. With a parade 20 miles long make sure you don't miss out. With an earlier start time than usual of 9am get there early to get a good spot. I can't wait!
