Reviews for Adelphi Theatre

The Adelphi theatre is set in the middle of theatre land at the Strand. It can be reached easily by underground and you can see the sights at Covent Garden before the show.
The theatre itself is not as large as you would think.
The stage is very small, when you consider that this is a west end theatre putting on a top show. The seats are cramped and old fashioned, not very much leg room if you are tall. The better seats at the front of the theatre are double the money, but they are much closer to the action and you do get a better view.
The revolving stage was used a lot with some funny moments that included a few multi toned rainbow sheep, the show is good and a must see.

The theatre itself is very close to the popular covent garden area and is very easy to find with minimum fuss. The night we saw the production of joseph was a memorable one, as we saw the star lee mead out side the theatre after wards, signing autographs and handing out signed photos. Yes he who won the role on the tv show. But to give him his due, he really suited the role and we enjoyed the show a lot. The theatre has a couple of bars serving drinks and these can be pricey, but it is a performance of just over 2 hours so you will need a drink, either que for ages or take your own. a defo 5 out of 5 for the show and a 4 for the theatre.

I went to see this with my mum for her b'day and i have to say that i thought it was wonderful. We both thouroughly enjoyed it and we had wonderful seats. We were about 4 rows from the front so we had great views. The Theatre was lovely, clean and the staff were helpful. The show was incredible and the actors/actresses were brilliant.
Lee Mead played the lead role(he won the role through the 'any dream will do' on the bbc) he was greatly suited. The show i think myself is great for any ages as children and adults aike both seemed to enjoy it.
The only thing i would say is if you intend to have a drink at the bar, come prepared with money as it is very expensive. But you are definately guaranteed a great time!

Recently took the family to see this wonderful production at the adelphi theatre in the heart of londons theatre land. It was great fun from start to finish, the guy who played the pharoah in the style of the king himself, Elvis, was superb, he light up the stage. Joseph was played by lee mead the guy who won the tv programe to find a new joseph. The show was witty and fun for all ages and by the end of the show the audience gave the cast a standing ovation. The only down side are the tiered seats which do not really allow a great view of the stage if you are high up. Best advice is to buy a more expensive ticket nearer the stage so you will be able to see everything.

Show was amazing, kids and adults loved it! All the cast were wonderful and staff were friendly. The only down side for us was we were in the upper cicrle as they were the only 4 seats together left when we booked. The view when we first got there was good but when people sat infront of us and leant forward the children could not see very well. It was unfortunate as it was not something you could really feel comfortable asking people to lean back so you could see better! The annoying thing was the view was no better if you leaned forward or sat back - all it managed to do was obstruct those behind you from getting a good view. The seats and leg room were not wonderful when compared to other theatres we have been to and being a tall person it is something I notice! However I would go back to this theatre but just try to get seats in the stalls or circle next time! The show I can not fault at all, it was wonderful
