Apsley House, home of the First Duke of Wellington - The Iron Duke, houses a collection of paintings, silver, porcelain and furniture, most of which was given to him in honour of his victory at Waterloo. Apsley House is also known simply as No. 1 London due to its position on Hyde Park Corner just inside the old London tollgate. The Wellington family are still in residence at this beautiful Robert Adam designed house and as such it is the last great London Town House of its kind.
