Reviews for The Wellington Club
What a disappointment, the club was very small and very crowded, we couldn’t even see the bar when we walked down to the dance floor it was so small.
The door staff we not friendly quite cocky and rude, and the music was the worse I have ever heard, I am sure Pete Tong would be quite ashamed to think he has put his name to a sound system that plays such atrocious music, who ever the DJ was I don’t know but I think I know why he is in a sort of cage that no one can get to him!!..
I am sure there are much better places to go to; luckily I didn’t pay to get in as I was kindly invited to a birthday party there.
BOTTOM LINE IS DON’T BOTHER UNLESS YOU LIKE MUSIC YOU CAN’T DANCE TO, WHERE THE BEAT CHANGES EVERY 3 MINUTES! I LIKE HOUSE MUSIC LIKE HED KANDI ETC, THIS WAS PURE CHEESE.
Great expectations, Great disappointment: Food decorations from the nursery down the road. Portions to feed a kitten. Zero atmosphere, and no sign of exclusivity....not even a red candle just to give our table the faintest Xmasy allure. Altogether very zealous service. Just as well because the freezing cold draughts would have made our party the perfect guinea pigs for a hibernation experiment, had we not left soon enough. Yes, admittedly, the premises were cold to say the least, and no customers took their coats off in the dining lounge. To our great disappointment for having spent time in dressing up!! Not to mention the minimum spend of £500 to sit in the dancing room, which we had not been informed about even if pre booked. We cut our evening short in order to save some candle lights that the staff kept replenishing on our table as a source of heating. We appreciated the minimalist and eco-friendly attitude to climate change due to heating fumes, but were not happy to have our complaints ridiculed and rudely dismissed.
